I was invited to collaborate with Venus Med Clinic in Cluj, joining other artists in creating a series of artworks for an exhibition supporting the clinic’s medical campaign. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about infertility, giving each artist the story of a couple to interpret, who succeeded in having a child with the help of medicine. Through my own imagination I sought to bring their story to life, expressing the emotions and hopes behind the campaign in a personal and creative way.
The story behind the illustration “The Journey of a Bud”
Through fluid lines and shapes, it represents fertility and hope. At the center of the composition, two stylized silhouettes, one with masculine features, the other with feminine contours, merge in a perfect balance of creation. From their union, a delicate bud unfolds, symbolizing new life, a dream taking root in fertile soil.
The power of medicine is the benevolent energy that supports and guides this journey toward fulfillment. It nourishes the bud of life, offering it strength and the chance to bloom.
The circle, a dynamic form, a sun, a womb, a seed, a cell suggests the continuous flow of existence. In perfect symbiosis, the masculine and feminine meet not just as distinct entities, but as complementary forces carrying the essence of life’s perpetuation.
This work is a celebration of the harmony between nature and science, desire and possibility, past and future. It is a visual story in which medicine becomes the subtle bridge between dream and reality, giving every bud the chance to blossom and bring new hope into the world.
