Bucharest, 2025
This illustration was created especially for NOUA.Bucătărie Românească Restaurant, from Bucharest, as part of their project “Caravana România în farfurie.” Designed as a graphic concept that visualizes the journey of the caravan across the lands of Romania, it traces its path through Transylvania, Crișana, Banat, Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobrogea, and Moldova.
I preserved the graphic outline of Romania’s map, a symbol found both in the restaurant’s visual interior concept and in the shape of the serving plates.
The culinary route of the caravan included the cities of Cluj-Napoca, Oradea, Timișoara, Sibiu, Brașov, Craiova, Iași, and Constanța, each stop adding its own flavor, heritage, and story to the journey.
The project’s purpose was to promote Romanian cuisine, to reveal the multicultural richness of each region’s culinary identity, to rediscover traditional recipes and old techniques, and to support local small producers. It also aimed to highlight the Romanian fine-dining movement and bring it into communities where this experience is not yet present.
