The warm light of the sun within me – solo exhibition, K53 Cafe, Bucharest 2023

My first solo exhibition of illustration and graphic art took place in the intimate and welcoming space of K53 Cafe in Bucharest. Titled “The Warm Light of the Sun Within Me”, the exhibition unfolded as a solar summer celebration, bringing together many dear people.

The exhibition gathered works created over the past years of my artistic journey, fragments of time, introspection, and transformation, woven together through line, symbol, and light.

The opening of the exhibition was marked by a heartfelt speech given by Professor Architect Codina Dușoiu, my diploma mentor at the Faculty of Interior Architecture. Her words opened the space with warmth, clarity, and a sense of continuity between learning, becoming, and creating.

The vernissage was enriched by the presence of Crama La Conu Chiroiu, who offered the audience wines from the Truvai Collection, a special collaboration for which I had the joy of creating the illustration for the wine labels.

The atmosphere turned meditative and deeply moving through a live concert of Persian classical music, performed by Iranian artist Mohammad Hadi Mogoei (tar and voice), together with Romanian musician Radu Varga on classical guitar. Their music gently carried the audience into a shared space of stillness, emotion, and light.

Art, wine, music, and coffee merged into one living moment, a celebration of connection, presence, and the warm sun we all carry within.

The closing event of the exhibition “The Warm Light of the Sun Within Me” – an evening of illustration, music, and literature.

We were honored to welcome writer Adriana Jderu, who presented her debut short-story volume “Small Spaces” (Spații mici), published in 2023 by Humanitas Publishing House. The literary moment continued through a moving monologue performed by Denisa Codiță, who brought one of Adriana Jderu’s texts to life with sensitivity and depth.

A special guest from Buenos Aires, José Almar, enchanted the audience with his warm voice and guitar, offering a soulful journey through Argentinian tango and soul music, performing traditional pieces reimagined for voice and guitar.

The evening then turned toward the poetic spirit of Persia, as translator Sara Esterabadeyan spoke about the poetry of Hafez, the most emblematic poet of Persian cultural and spiritual identity. She presented and recited from the volume “Hafez – The Nectar of Love. Selected Ghazals from the Divan of Hafez” (Integral Publishing House, Himera Collection), translated from Persian into Romanian.

The journey continued with a concert of Persian instrumental music, performed on tar and voice by Iranian musician Mohammad Hadi Mogoei, whose sounds carried us into a meditative, timeless space.

The finissage became a living bridge between cultures, where illustration, literature, poetry, and music met in a shared atmosphere of warmth, reflection, and light.
